I have had both 91 1.6 (4 door E) and 91 2.0 My MPG with the 1.6 (auto)
were usually 28-31 with my 5spd manual 2.0 I am getting at best 26-27
ususally 23-24. this is with no mods on 1.6 but with Hotshot CAI and Headers.
Most people on the SE-R list get upper 20s to low 30s so it is just how the
car has been maintained. I would go with the SE-R loads more fun!!

What is the real world difference
between 2 sentras, same everything except one has the 2.0 and the other 1.6?
Both have the 4spd auto. Im looking at a 93 SER and a 94 2dr limited. It will
be my commuter car.
