If you don't notice a difference, chances are he just burned it a little.
You probably have a nice glaze on the flywheel now, though. I wouldn't
hurry to tear it down or anything, seeing as it's a pretty large PITA job.

Subject: SML-NON-P: Clutch... uh oh

Hey apparently with out my knowing my dad (who is very shotty at driving
stick) was trying to get my car up on some stands.... He said when he was
trying to get them up he wasn't getting enough power than it smelled and
then smoke was coming out of the car.... Of course I yelled and bitched but
he
said if its really bad he'd pay for a new one.. now this happened like 3
hours ago and it still smells a little (the smell of burning clutch I mean)
now I have never had clutch problems before caus ei can drive stick fine,
and I took the car out and couldn't feel any difference..... my question is
since this is pretty much the first occurnce of real bad wear and tear on
the clutch should I be ok? He said a good amount of smoke was coming out...
just want an opinion... thanks
