When I got my 91 4dr sentra the front speakers were blown. I took the door
apart and took the odd looking speakers with the metal plate welded to
them out. I went to a local car stereo place and they said the didnt know
what those plates were and didnt have any speakers the would perfectly
match, they had a pair that was pretty close, about .5 of an inch to small.
Said they could "find a way to install them", quoted 50 bux for labor. I just
took the speakers. At home I used a screw at the top whole at those plastic
wire-ties or zip-ties or whatever they are called on the other to wholes and
pulled them really tight with pliers. Worked perfectly, speakers in there solid.
