Hello all I was looking at diagnostic criteria for sepsis in Surviving Sepsis Campaign: International guidelines for management of severe sepsis and septic shock: 2008* and I came across SBP <90 or MAP < 70 as diagnostic criteria for sepsis induced hypotension. can someone explain why MAP < 70 is chosen instead of 65 ?
