I was asked a question concerning hospice consults in septic shock patients and the appropriate timeframe to get the hospice consult. Can anyone share their practice guidelines concerning this issue? Presently, it's all based on physician preference at our hospitals. I am also doing a lit search for any recommendations. Thank you in advance.
