Robin,

We have an alert built into our EMR. When 2 SIRS criteria, as it relates to
vital signs, are met the EMR places a flashing alert in the ED physicians'
column to let them know that there is a potential septic patient. They are
supposed to click off "suspected infection" or "no suspected infection" and
treat accordingly.

Subject: [Sepsis Groups] Electronic Sepsis Alert

Hello, I am looking for hospitals that have developed electronic sepsis alerts.
My hospital is interested in pursuing this and would like to see what has been
done successfully out there. Appreciate all feedback!
