Hi, I am curious to on how this will be with the revised guidelines. Previously the data collection required patients to be admitted to ICU to be included. Will this be the same?

Are you only gathering data from your septic patients in the critical care units or are you abstracting data from all sepsis patients regardless of admission to the ICU/SCCU/general medical floors? We have 1 nurse collecting data currently and are looking at ways to capture sepsis patients house wide. Attempts have been made to build reports that help to identify septic patients, however they are not very clean reports yet. I am inquiring if anyone has any additional ideas that we may try for sepsis identification house wide.
