Colleagues,

Greetings from sunny Chicago! We offer breaking news....your SSC list serv has
crested the 2000 participant mark! Congratulations this international community
is growing stronger every day.

We have begun posting sample documents based on the 2013 guidelines and bundles
on the SSC website and look forward to posting many more. Saint Joseph Mercy
Health System in Michigan is the first (thanks to Pat Posa) sharing their
screening tool for ICU and floors along with their sepsis pocket card. In the
improvement section, three worksheets have been uploaded: PDSA, Project Charter
and Prototype Roadmap. Do you have checklists, protocols, worksheets, job
descriptions or other tools to share? Submit them to
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> but don't forget
permissions from your hospital if they bear the hospital name/logo.

As posted yesterday, you and your team can now
register<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Resources/Pages/Webcasts.aspx> for the
May 29th webcast, "What's New in the 3rd Edition of the Surviving Sepsis
Campaign Guidelines" in the upcoming events section of the website or watch
achieved presentations and download slides from previous
programs<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Resources/Pages/Media.aspx>. Look for
more information on new webcasts in June on the topic of GRADE and in July,
coding and billing. There is much more to come including pediatrics. The April
webcast had 550 participating hospitals and individuals so we look forward to
continued success in the months to come.

With warm regards to all,

Lori
