We are developing an order set for the rapid response team to initiate when the
patient screens positive for sepsis/sepis. We are told by Joint Commission
that the only order set not requiring a physician signature, is the
pneumovac/influenza screening order set. Are you staff getting the telephone
order for R&V after they have obtained the labs/started the fluid bolus if
indicated?
How are you getting around this? Any information you can give me would be
greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Judy Brohm RN,CCRN
