Cerner has a Sepsis Lighthouse clinical decision tool that has an alert for
Sepsis. We will be piloting it at one of our sites later this month (took a
lot of work by our CIO and clinicians to make it functional).

Subject: [Sepsis Groups] Sepsis surveillance in Epic 2012 anyone?

Does anyone have a report or process for monitoring patient’s key sepsis
indicators (WBC, temp, Vital Signs, etc.) or have an alert built in Epic
2012 to prompt a sepsis review on a patient based on these indicators?

I am hoping for a real-time warning for Care Team members or charge nurses
to look further at the patient and to start sepsis protocols?

Thank you,

Betsy
