Hi Dana, If you have equipment that measures hemodynamics from an arterial waveform, monitoring the stroke volume in response to fluid resuscitation is very helpful. Can determine fluid responsiveness. If SV increases with fluid challenge, pt is fluid responsive. Hope that helps.
