Sepsis issue:
We
are finishing up a sepsis protocol at our hospital using the SSC as our
guidelines. If you have a patient who satisifies severe sepsis by labs
(ie elevated creatinine, bilirubin, low plts) but has a normal lactate
and is normotensive, does the SSC mandate or recommend that they get a
30cc/kg bolus within 3 hours. Interested in knowing your take and your
other ED/Critical Care colleagues thoughts.
