We have an electronic alert that is SIRS with at least one end organ hypo
perfusion indicator. It is turned on throughout the house to include 13 ICU's.
We have a lot of false positives. Should we turn off in ICU 's? Does anyone
else restrict their electronic alert ? What happened to mortality?

To continue improving our sepsis outcomes, we are looking at our EMS.

Our EMS county providers are interested in doing lactates in the field and
possibly giving a broad spectrum antibiotic based on an algorithm.

Is anyone else doing either of these?

Thanks
Sue
