We require the nurses to document completion time and volume. They have the
option of doing it in their MAR, I/O flowsheet, or free text. You'd be amazed
to know how many inconsistencies we discovered when we tightened this up. It
was quite enlightening!

I was wondering how do you know for data collection purposes when the IVF bolus
is completed. Do you rely on the nuses to click on a button that states
"Medication Stopped" (or something to that effect) or do you just say that an
IVF bolus goes in within a certain period of time?
