"Do we need to note that blood cultures are not indicated for routine CAP to have this count. We fought this battle 4 years ago with the pneumonia measures and it seems to be now rehashed. There are multiple studies that show the futility of BC in pneumonia unless the patient is ICU bound (septic shock)."
