Ye,s we were concerned as well. However, after our CEO Dr. Williams reviewed the rational and evidence as well as our ED physician champion reviewed the rational and evidence we are comfortable following the bundle including the fluid resuscitation. Our ED physician has the same opinion you have regarding the risk of the Septic Shock being greater than the risk of fluid overload. We have had patients that have met the bundle with histories of heart failure and/or chronic renal failure and all have responded well without reversal of the fluids required.
