One of our Intensivists developed the following .phrase (in EPIC) that Providers can pull into their H&P: "This patient met criteria for Septic Shock. I have reviewed or performed all elements of the Septic Shock focused exam; or two of the four bedside hemodynamic assessment elements."
According to a Quality Measures Reporting Webinar on 1/11/17 titled "SEP-1 Early Management Bundle, Severe Sepsis/Septic Shock: v5.2 Measure Updates" (found under IQR archived events) even a simple phrase such as "Sepsis focus exam completed" will meet this portion of SEP-1.
