We do not wait for a specific time. The nurse calls the respiratory therapist as soon as the fluid bolus is infused. RT uses the ePOC to do the point of care initial lactate, hangs a laminated sign reminding the nurse to call when the fluid bolus is complete for any lactate >2, and then returns to do the repeat lactate when called.
