I just committed a class_table_inheritance plugin to Sequel: http://github.com/jeremyevans/sequel/commit/53b988cb864767e70e0644a14d1318667b406133. For those of you that want database support for inheritance, but don't like STI, Sequel now provides another option.
This was the last major feature on my todo list for Sequel, so I don't currently have much planned for 3.6.0 (I'm planning to release 3.5.0 on Thursday). As always, I'm open to considering feature requests.
