Not really. The MWRC 2009 presentation has a slide or two on it, but that's probably it. The easiest way to do so is to copy an existing adapter such as OpenBase, modify it till it works enough to return records, and then start running the integration tests and fix whatever is not working. Do you plan on adding support for a new database or adapter? If so, I'll be happy to help if you run into problems.
