I didn't know this till today, but Sequel was originally spun off from another project Sharon Rosner (the original author of Sequel) wrote called ServerSide (http://code.google.com/p/serverside/).
This is the commit that gave birth to what is now Sequel, on November 28, 2006: http://code.google.com/p/serverside/source/detail?r=185 Datasets were added a day later: http://code.google.com/p/serverside/source/detail?r=187 This is the commit where Sequel was split off from ServerSide, on March 3, 2007: http://code.google.com/p/serverside/source/detail?r=309 Anyway, just thought some of you would want to know.
