I haven't had a chance to try import or the multi_insert "front end" for the import. Was given the direction to move on and work on performance tuning later so I'll have to come back to this.
I'll post back here with my results when I've given the "ok" to work on tuning the code i'm using. I'll also try the INSERT ALL and see how that goes.
