I have no experience with rjb. The jdbc adapter is only tested and supported on JRuby. You may be able to get it to work with CRuby+rjb, but you are on your own in terms of support. I would recommend seeing if you can get your application working under JRuby, as that would almost definitely be easier than getting CRuby+rjb+jdbc adapter working.
