Hi Jeremy, I've found the Sequel's mock adapter useful in some self-contained scripts where I didn't need the actual connection. There was a recent Twitter discussion <https://twitter.com/bryanp/status/1204936339906420737> where Bryan Powell was asking how to build SQL expressions in Ruby, and I realized that Sequel's mock adapter is really handy for this. From the Sequel specs I've also found out that you can mock individual adapters via the :host option, giving proper database-specific SQL, which is pretty cool.
I don't remember now how I found out about Sequel's mock adapter in the first place (probably from the bin/sequel script), but I didn't find it properly documented anywhere. There are API docs, but they don't really show usage, and can be difficult to find as the user needs to remember to look into the *adapter* RDocs. Do you think it would be worthwhile to add a guide for the mock adapter, e.g. into the "Misc" section? In that case I could take point in writing one up, if you want.
