I'm thinking that "network partition and reconciliation" might be an
impossible task to do.
Yes, it is in the general case.
As Marc said, we recommend to build a network configuration where such
partition cannot occur. This is relatively easy, you just have to
collocate your group communication traffic with your database and/or
client connections so that you prevent system partitions.
