the problem still exists for my configuration. Can someone reproduce
this behavior?
Could you set the VirtualDatabase logger to DEBUG and check if you see a
message like: 'Removing controller xxxxx' on the remaining controller
after you have killed a controller?
There might be some delay until the list is updated because the recovery
log has to store a checkpoint but that should not be a big deal.
