Hello Seqouia List!
After 2 months of struggling I now can proubly announce that the
whole sequoia and carob toolchain now runs on our Debian Etch AMD64 test
system.
The test system (AMD64 Dual Dual Core machine with 8GB RAM running XEN)
emulates a virtual network which consists of :
* one sequoia controller node
* two mysql5 database nodes
* one webserver-node
* one gateway (openVPN)
controller node : sequoia 3.0-beta1.
DB-Nodes : Mysql-5.0.24b9
webserver-node : carob-scm-2006-10-26
* libmysequoia_0.9.3-1
* carob_0.6-1
This carob version includes the latest patches for AMD64 developed by
Gilles Rayrat (inspired by my questions :-) ).
First PHP test-scripts runs fine under php5 compiled against
libmysequoia and run thru the mysqli interface.
An python-MySQLdb source package was linked without problems against
libmysequoia. Python runs fine
over this sequoia interface.
!!!
PHPmyAdmin still refuses to work under same conditions. This is
discussed elsewhere
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00348.html
You are welcome to help me overcome this final obstacles. :-)
!!!
Many thanks to Gilles Rayrat, Marc Herbert, Csaba E. Simon and Stephane
GIRON for there instantanious support.
Debian packages (for testing purposes) are avaible on request.
Best regards
Volker
