Ok this is it, I guess there is nothing strange?
<DatabaseBackend name="amdelcura.indra.es"
driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@amdelcura.indra.es:1521:itecban"
connectionTestStatement="select * from dual">
<ConnectionManager vLogin="itecban"
rLogin="prbgrid"
rPassword="gridgrid">
<VariablePoolConnectionManager
initPoolSize="40"/>
</ConnectionManager>
<DatabaseSchema schemaName="prbgrid"
gatherSystemTables="false"/>
</DatabaseBackend>
But why this table is fetched with a select and not with an insert?

Sequoia did not succeed in fetching a table people in schema prbgrid.
This is why you get:
> jdbc:sequoia://aolias.indra.es/ITECBAN_DB (itecban) > insert into
> prbgrid.people (first_name, second_name, id) values ('Felipe',
> 'Lotas', people_seq.nextval)

The table does not belong to Sequoia's schema because it couldn't fetch it.
You should look at your DatabaseSchema settings in your virtual database
configuration file (note that these settings are different for Sequoia
2.10 and 3.0)
Hope this helps,
Emmanuel
