Alexander,
I've read a bit and I'm trying the raidb1 demo....
The demo starts, but rather than having the backends start, this is
what i get:
14:40:00,894 INFO controller.virtualdatabase.myDB Unknown last state
for backend localhost. Leaving node in disabled state.
14:40:00,899 INFO controller.virtualdatabase.myDB Unknown last state
for backend localhost2. Leaving node in disabled state.
The demo-raidb1.sh does not initialize the backend. You can take the
demo-distributed-raidb1.sh instead. I have recently upgraded the
non-distributed demo to also initialize the backends and execute queries
as in the distributed version.
You can get this from the last nightly build or from CVS. The next 3.0
release should also be out soon.
how can i enable them? where is a backup I could restore?
You have to first initialize the cluster as described in the doc. You
can look at the scripts used for the distributed demo (in demo/
directory), the principle is the same.
Thanks for your interest in Sequoia,
Emmanuel
