Hi,

My configuration is Sequoia 2.10. My example is 1 controller, 2
backends, and a recovery db all running HSQLDB 1.8.

It doesn't seem to matter how I do a shutdown, the next time I restart
the controller and backends, the backends are now in a disabled state.

Can you give me some idea of why this happens? What is the recommended
sequence and commands for shutting down the sequoia controller, db
backends and recovery db?

I have attached my full_cluster log file.

Also, the last few lines of my Recovery DB file are as follows:

INSERT INTO CHECKPOINT VALUES('Initial_empty_recovery_log',0)

INSERT INTO CHECKPOINT VALUES('disable all
backends-129.243.24.60:25322-20070117120806277-0600',19)

INSERT INTO CHECKPOINT
VALUES('shutdown-129.243.24.60:25322-20070117120806855-0600',19)

INSERT INTO BACKEND VALUES('myDB','localhost',3,'disable all
backends-129.243.24.60:25322-20070117120806277-0600')

INSERT INTO BACKEND VALUES('myDB','localhost2',3,'disable all
backends-129.243.24.60:25322-20070117120806277-0600')

Thanks,

Jared
