I mostly disagree with you on logging but you have a point here. I don't see any mechanism to limit the number of pending queries in the recovery log and it can be a problem in the case of a complete failure of the recovery log database but perhaps I'm missing something. I wonder what happens if the recovery log db is unaccessible for a long time. What I'm expecting for is: Failure 1 ...
