The old version of hsqldb caused infinite loops upon vdb restart when using embeded hsqldb recovery log. Sample use case: - use embedded hsqldb recovery log (jdbc:hsqldb:file:) - insert 7 blobs with size ranging form 1 to 7M - shutdown vdb - reload vdb <= hangs (100%CPU usage) kill -QUIT shows controller had hsqldb thread looping at vdb load time.
