Hi Sebastian,
This means that all writes to clusterized DBs backends must pass through sequoia. As the updates are broadcasted to all DB backends, and stored in the sequoia recovery log, using a separate console to write to only one backend would cause inconsistencies.

Note that reads can be done using any console on any DB backend

Hope these help
Gilles.

Hi everyone,

there is a warning in the installation guide of sequoia that says (quote):

-
To ensure database consistency, all database backends must be accessed through Sequoia. The database nodes must not be accessed directly using the database native console.

Does it mean what it seems to be?
Or, is there a way to use sequoia to provide access to DBs and the native console of a DB parallely?
Should all acces to the DBs must go over sequoia?

Thanx for any quick help,

Sebastian Zickau
