Oh, please. If it would be so easy I would not bother disturbing
anyone ;-)

What you got pasted is the exception I get *after* already connecting
the DB, browsing some tables und doing what ever I want until
the "feels like a timeout" event occurs and I can not work with the
DB any more. It does not matter whether I user SQuirrel, jdvcNav or
even the Sequoia console.sh. After about 20-30s my connection is shut
down by the server with the following not very enlightening comment:

WARN virtualdatabase.VirtualDatabaseWorkerThread.vDBxyz Client
(login:xyz,host:abc.de closed connection with server)

And no, it has nothing to do with my connection. I can do that remote
or from the same machine. It's always the same. The error message you
pointed out comes from the reconnect, because that's the next
interesting thing: The application is not able to reconnect until it
is restarted. That means e.g. from the console.sh I have to
completely quit and restart to login again. A simple "sql client"
command will not do, because I get:

Unable to connect to database
jdbc:sequoia://viif-sequoia.webhop.biz:25322/vDBviif (Virtual
database vDBviif not found on any of the controllers)

But after restarting the console.sh I can login again and use my about
20s to work. I already tried with the SimpleConnectionManager instead
of the VariablePoolConnectionManager because I thought it might me a
pooling problem. But that seems not to be the point.

Any hint is highly appreciated.
