non-Sequoia environment. For two fairly read and write intensive servlets (executing 500+ statements with writes or reads going at any one time) using Hibernate, it takes about 9 seconds in 3.0 beta 2 and about double that in 2.10.9, but only about 1.5 seconds with just plain MySQL. Should this kind of slowdown be expected? Is there any configuration stuff I should look out for for any speed ups?
