Hi Shai,
I wanted to know if its normal:
1.
I have 2 backends of mysql and 1 controller and Myosotis running for
mysql clients..
when I run for one of the backends a backup it brings the backend
offline (disables it) and then i need to run 'enable backendname' to
re-enable ... is this normal ?
No this is not normal. The backup operation disables the backend,
performs the backup and then automatically re-enables the backend
(unless the backend was already disabled before the backup operation was
executed). If the backend remains offline, an error probably happened
and you should be able to find the error message in the logs.
2.
during the time that the controller enables the backend (it takes few
minutes..) it looks like the Myosotis (and probably the controller)
are not able to get new connections from client.. ?
This is not normal either. Are you using persistent connections?
Which version of Sequoia are you using?
Thanks for your interest in Sequoia,
Emmanuel
