Hi,

Sequoia is a database agnostic replication middleware and it will remain this way. You should be able to find database specific startup scripts with your database distribution. You can also try to get help from a consultant if you need help in configuring MySQL or in automating the startup process.

You should also be able to find a lot of online resources on how to use and configure MySQL but it will require some work and studying.

Thanks for your interest in Sequoia,
Emmanuel

I cannot find document to set up mysql backend for sequoia. I have
made mysql running and be able to create new databases. For hsqldb,
all we have to do is to run the demo-xxxx.sh script in the demo
directory. There are some files to replace the virtualdatabase setup
files for mysql. But I cannot find the starting script to launch the
controller.
It will be nice to have a .sh file or .bat file in the demo directory
similar to the file for hsqldb so we can start controller right away
for mysql backends. The thing is that I do not know how to open a new
port to create a new database for mysql. That is what hsqldb has done.
