Slovenian paper Delo expects the next European crisis to begin in the Balkans 2 minutes _____ Ljubljana, 25 August 2017 (MIA) - Slovenian Delo newspaper writes that the Macedonian - Serbian diplomatic spat could cause the next European crisis. Delo writes that the withdrawal of Serbian diplomats from Macedonia is a form of pressure on Macedonia over its vote on Kosovo's UNESCO membership. Delo points out that Macedonia and Serbia view the Kosovo issue differently, with the Albanian community in Macedonia being involved in decision making on domestic and foreign policy, while Serbia wants to annex Kosovo and delineate what belongs to the Serbs and what to the Albanians. "Serbia, as the traditional Russian ally in the Balkans, is probably trying to help Moscow in preventing the admission of the entire region into NATO and the European Union. After the failed coup attempt in Montenegro, that was meant to prevent its NATO accession, now the next Russian target is Macedonia". Delo writes.
