Serbia asks European churches not to support Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO GazetaExpress 1-2 minutes _____ Serbian Minister of Social Welfare, Zoran Djordjevic, during the General Assembly of the Conference of European Churches which is being held in Novi Sad, asked the support of European churches to prevent Kosovo’s membership in UNESCO. He said that “vast majority of cultural heritage in Kosovo is consisted of Serbian church arts and architecture.” “Albanians of Kosovo and authorities in Pristina showed no willingness to prevent its destroyal,” Djordjevic has stated. He also said that Serbia is asking a compromise solution in the EU-facilitated dialogue with Kosovo, when none of the parties will be fully satisfied, but both sides will get something. Following its failure to get enough votes from members of the UN cultural body in order to join in 2015, the Kosovo government is making preparations for a possible second bid this year. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "serbia" group.
