Spanish authorities are said to have been informed about how the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is proceeding and that if a landmark agreement is reached, Spain will move forward by recognizing the independence of Kosovo. However, the country is against the idea for territorial exchange fearing it could be used as precedent by nationalists in Catalonia.
