Another Kosovo MP arrested for intimidating prosecutor GazetaExpress 2 minutes _____ Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) MP, Shkumbin Demaliaj, has been arrested on Thursday for allegedly intimidating former special prosecutor, Elez Blakaj, who was investigating alleged wrongdoings during the verification of war veterans status. This is the second Kosovo MP arrested within days after MP Milaim Zeka was arrested on Wednesday and ordered one month detention for intimidating a prosecutor who has indicted Zeka on alleged visa scam. Demaliaj who is member of Prime Minister Ramush Haraidnaj's party - AAK, is suspected of intimidating Blakaj, who resigned in August, claiming that he had been threatened while investigating alleged wrongdoings with the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) veterans list. Demaliaj was one of the twelve members of the Government's Commission on verification of war veterans status who was indicted by Blakaj. The Prosecution Office confirmed Demaliaj's arrest. Deputy chief prosecutor of Pristina Prosecution Office, Ibrahim Berisha, has confirmed to Gazeta Express that Demaliaj was ordered 48 hours custody. Demaliaj after the arrest posted a status in his Facebook account writing: "KLA I love you a lot.!!! We will always love our country..!! But we will never accept the humiliation..!!!"
