Dacic: We will not give away Kosovo for EU "carrot" 26 Oktobar 2018 12:36 2 minutes _____ BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic has said Serbia would not trample its own Constitution and dignity underfoot by recognising the false state of Kosovo for the sake of European perspective, which he referred to as the carrot from the "carrot and stick" metaphor. Commenting on a statement by German MP Peter Beyer, who on Wednesday said Serbia would not be able to join the EU without recognising Kosovo, Dacic told Vecernje novosti the message should definitely be taken seriously as Beyer was an official of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union.
