Priština to appoint “ambassador“ to Belgrade soon

PRIŠTINA -- Kosovo Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj has stated that the Kosovo PM 
and president will soon appoint a representative to Belgrade.

According to media, Hoxhaj said that he would soon propose PM Hashim Thaci 
three candidates for an “ambassador” to Serbia.

He added that the chosen Kosovo diplomat would have a status of sn ambassador 
and that they woulf either have a special office or an office within an 
international organization, such as the EU. 

“This will be a liaison office of the Republic of Kosovo that will represent 
the Republic of Kosovo in Serbia’s capital of Belgrade. Serbia will also have 
the same office in Kosovo. Both sides agreed that the EU delegation should 
offer office space. We will have more than one office there. We will have 
enough space at our disposal,” Hoxhaj stressed. 

Priština media have been speculating that deputy head of the Kosovo liaison 
office will be a Serb. 

Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić said recently that establishment of 
diplomatic relations with Kosovo was “unacceptable” to Belgrade and that “
