Once again today we find ourselves surrounded by tragedy, trials, and
tribulations.
The war goes on and people are sacrificed on the field of battle, maybe a
friend or loved one of yours.
The economy isn't so hot and you may find yourself unemployed or
underemployed with bills to pay and car repairs looming.
You have lost a loved one during the holiday season or found out you have a
debilitating or even fatal disease. <
I have added the following paragraph:
Beyond those rather personal tragedies, trials and tribulations, we have the
ongoing societal abomination of abortion that kills some one million little
ones every year-little ones for whom our Lord gave His life, little ones
sacrificed for the sake of comfort and convenience not unlike the "Holy
Innocents" commemorated by the holy Christian Church on this day were
sacrificed at the hands of a tyrant king named Herod as he sought to put an
end to the little newborn that threatened his power as King of Judea.
