"Do Whatever He Tells You": A sermon outline
TEXT: John 2:5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
Dearly beloved of God,
"Do whatever your Lord tells you."
Why?
Because what He tells you is ALWAYS for your benefit-what He tells you is life
itself.
Have no other gods beside Him.
Call on His name--Pray.
Remember the Sabbath Day.
Honor your father and mother.
Do not murder.
Do not commit adultery.
Is it not interesting the venue that Jesus chose for His debut
miracle?
· Bless marriage
· Focus on His relationship to His bride, The Holy Christian Church
Best men to present her as a pure virgin
Do not steal.
Do not bear false witness.
Do not covet property or household.
Baptize.
Confess.
Commune.
Is it not interesting that Jesus chose making wine to be His debut
miracle?
· Created things not to be despised, but properly and prudently enjoyed
within the parameters of the Ten Commandments.
· The Lord's Supper, i.e. wedding banquet.
Do whatever our Lord tells you, because in these things you have the
forgiveness of sins and everything for life here and to eternity-- in the name
of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
