God Took Him to the Valley by Pastor Harman, 2011 rev. for Lent 5a LSB
tune: Anthes 7.6.7.6.D LSB #915 Today, Your mercy calls us, To wash away our sin; However great our trespass, Whatever we have been. The past shall be forgotten, A present joy be given, By grace we have this promise: A glorious life in heaven. Almighty God, by mercy, do govern and preserve Your people, soul and body, that we may ever serve. Let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author of our faith Who for the joy before Him, endured the cross and death! God took him to the valley; Ezekiel saw the bones, God made the dead to rally, For He gives life alone! When life seems dark and cheerless, and all our hope is gone, Our Mighty LORD is near us With life to carry on. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ: The Savior of all nations, God’s Lamb, our Sacrifice! We pray You, Holy Spirit to set our minds on You That heaven we inherit! And daily we’re renewed. Christ is the Resurrection, the Way, the Truth, the Life Whoever trusts His Promise shall live and never die Christ came into creation to crush the serpent’s head And the Last Day, in glory He will raise up the dead. Praise unto God the Father, Declare His awesome things! Praise to the Son, our Brother, Salvation He does bring! And to the Holy Spirit, Let Praises ever ring! Shout Holy! Holy! Holy! To our Jehovah-King! Amen. Pastor Michael Harman St. Peter Newell, Iowa vacancies at First Fonda, Iowa and Immanuel Pomeroy IOwa
