“The Feast of Unleavened Bread, also called the Passover, drew near” FOR YOU. “He went out, as was His custom, to the Mount of Olives” FOR YOU. “Those who had arrested Jesus brought Him to the high priest’s house” FOR YOU. “He was silent and gave no answer” FOR YOU. “They gave Him over to Pontius Pilate, the governor” FOR YOU. “The Word of Jesus was fulfilled, signifying by what death He should die” FOR YOU. “Pilate took Jesus and had Him flogged” FOR YOU. “Carrying His own cross, He went out of the city to a place called Skull Hill, in Hebrew, Golgotha” FOR YOU. “It was the third hour, and there they crucified Him” FOR YOU. “When Jesus had received the wine, He cried out with a loud voice, ‘It is finished’”—and He cried thus FOR YOU. “Having said this, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit” FOR YOU. Today is day one; tomorrow, day two.
