The final version of the JavaMail API 1.3.1 release is now available
from the JavaMail web page http://java.sun.com/products/javamail.
Thanks to everyone who tested the early access version and provided
us feedback.

JavaMail 1.3.1 includes over 20 bug fixes, as well as support for
DIGEST-MD5 authentication in the SMTP provider (courtesy of Dean
Gibson).

Read the README.txt, NOTES.txt, and CHANGES.txt files included with
the download for more details.

Enjoy!

         The JavaMail Team

P.S. The next API release of JavaMail (JavaMail 1.4, at least a year
from now) will NOT support JDK 1.1 and will likely require at least
J2SE 1.4. If you think you will have a need to use JavaMail on releases
older than J2SE 1.4, starting about a year from now, please let us know.

P.P.S. The JavaMail 1.3.1 source code will be included with the J2EE
1.4 source code, to be released later this year. Sorry for the delay.
