I haven't checked it in yet, but FWIW, I do have DBCP working in James with
recovery from server outage. I'll probably check it in tonight or tomorrow
morning. I'm just trying to bridge DBCP's PrintWriter "logging" to Avalon
LogKit first.
DBCP already had support for Connection.isClosed(). The BasicDataSource
just hid it away from client code.
