FYI, there is a JavaMail implementation in Geronimo under
the Apache License.

As far as I know,

http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/incubator-geronimo/specs/activation/

is an empty placeholder, with just interfaces. And neither of

  http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/incubator-geronimo/specs/javamail/
  http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/incubator-geronimo/modules/mail/

is much more than a placeholder.

Define placeholder, please. [There seems to be a lot of code there (117 java files, summing up to 13926 lines of code, just for /javamail/]
